Prayer
“Pray, hope, and don’t worry. Worry is useless. God is merciful and will hear your prayer.” ~Padre Pio
Questions About Prayer
-
“Prayer is the raising of one's mind and heart to God or the requesting of good things from God." ~ CCC 2559
-
The four main types of prayer are:
Adoration (praising and adoring God)
Petition (asking God for forgiveness or for a personal need)
Intercession (asking God on behalf of someone else)
Thanksgiving (thanking God for His gifts in our life)

Everything we do can be a prayer by turning to God. You do not have to have a dedicated space or a specific devotional, although those can be beneficial.
Some easy habits to start turning your daily tasks into prayer:
Pass a Catholic Church while driving, do a sign of the cross or wave hello to Jesus
See an ambulance, fire truck, or police officer, ask God to be with them and pray a Hail Mary.
Pray the Hail Mary while washing your hands. If prayed intentionally and slowly, two Hail Mary’s is about 20 seconds(which is how long you should wash your hands for)
Doing chores around the house? Thank God for the blessing of a home, food, clothes, and more. Ask God to be with your children who wear the clothes you’re washing or the people who gather at your table.
Laying in bed at the end of the day, thank God for one blessing from the day and ask God to be with you the next day.
