The bible used by the Catholic Church has 73 books(46 in the Old Testament and 27 in the New Testament). The Catholic Church did not add seven books to the bible. The books were removed during the Protestant Reformation, which was in the 16th Century. The seven books that were removed from the Old Testament are Tobit, Judith, 1 and 2 Maccabees, Wisdom, Sirach, and Baruch. It is important you have a proper version, and you understand books were not added; they were removed.
